The Operating Principles of Complete Sets of Low-Voltage Power Distribution Cabinets

The operating principle of a complete set of low-voltage power distribution cabinets is grounded in the fundamental principles of power systems. When the power supply is connected, electrical energy is transmitted via busbars to various circuit components, such as circuit breakers and contactors. Under normal operating conditions, the circuit breakers remain closed, while the contactors open or close in response to control signals, thereby enabling the control of connected loads.

During circuit operation, protective components-such as relays and fuses-continuously monitor the status of the circuit in real time. Should a fault occur within the circuit, relays generate a signal that triggers the circuit breaker to trip, thereby interrupting the circuit and safeguarding both equipment and personnel. For instance, thermal relays activate to interrupt the control circuit in the event of a motor overload, while fuses blow to disconnect the circuit in the event of a short circuit.

Current transformers and voltage transformers convert the current and voltage signals within the circuit into signals suitable for use by measurement and protection devices. Measurement devices display the circuit's operational parameters, while protection devices analyze these signals to detect faults and initiate appropriate protective measures.
